Supporting PRPW’s Oceans Apart Programme

ProFifteen is very proud to support the Pacific Rugby Players Welfare (PRPW) programme of video’s highlighting the challenges faced by Pacific Island players living and playing overseas.

In this, episode 3, PRPW tackle Mental Health Awareness and it’s impact on players as well as their families and communities, an urgent wake up call for Rugby around the world.

PRPW’s Dan Leo explains the background to this episode:

Greetings to all of our Pacific Rugby Players Welfare community around the World. I trust this finds you all safe and well during these extraordinary times.

The topic in this episode- Mental Health, is particularly important in today’s landscape, and given all of us have experienced isolation in some form or another through this lockdown, I’m sure it’s something we can all relate to.

Please enjoy OA: Ep3… but most importantly, act upon it. As our Fijian brother Sunia Koto says in the film, a few minutes of your time used to check-in on someone might make all the difference.

Lastly, a big thanks to the team at ProXV who partnered with us to produce this episode.  Educating our players & families and those we work and live with, as well as raising  awareness as to the challenges faced by Pacific Island rugby is extremely important and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on our community.
